TIME Foundation was established in 1994 with the mission to promote sustainable development, efficient management and use of natural resources, and environmental protection by means of coordinating the efforts of all public sectors and fostering democratic decision-making. TIME Foundation can be considered among the leading environmental NGOs in Bulgaria working on national level. With its history of over 12 years TIME Foundation is well recognized among the governmental structures and environmental NGO community. With its recent activities in the above mentioned focus fields TIME Foundation becomes known among the business community as well. Among the donor community TIME is recognized as an organization capable at delivering high quality project management, which is a result of its strict and comprehensive internal management and financial systems.

The activities of TIME Foundation are in the following areas of intervention: Dissemination of information and know-how; Environmental and Sustainability Education; Review, analysis and development of policies; Establishment of partnership and networking mechanisms; Supporting sustainable development community initiatives.

During the last 4 years the activities of TIME Foundation focus on promotion of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, green buildings (developed technical design of a "green" building), sustainable agriculture and tourism, environmental management systems and labeling and environmental education.  TIME has knowledge and experience in the fields of water and solid waste management as well as in promotion and public communication.
