Groupe One is a Belgian international non-governmental organisation (NGO) created in 1997 by a group of economists.

 

Its ambition is to contribute to a more responsible economy which includes attention to human rights and principles of sustainable development. Its spheres of activity are mainly corporate social responsibility – CSR (promote the adoption by companies of strategies incorporating sustainable development, through the offer of training, information, and consultancy) and economic and social development (contribute to the economic development of disadvantaged regions through economic revitalisation initiatives and help in policy making).

 

The organisation has a great experience in seminars/conferences preparation, publication and training activities, consultancy, help in policy making, audit and monitoring activities. In the past years, Groupe One has developed coaching material for agro-touristic accommodations based on the best European standards and promotes the development of a sustainable agro-tourism sector.

 

Groupe One has developed ecological footprint calculators for SMEs together with Eco-Conseil Entreprise, Ecolife, and WWF and has expertise in EMAS application.
