KATE, Center for Ecology & Development in Stuttgart is an EMAS registered  advisory and project organization in sustainability management systems, CSR, international development cooperation and capacity building.

 

The non-profit organization was founded in 1996 and initiated work to introduce and strengthen  EMAS  in social organizations and churches and organizing  training for voluntary eco-auditors, is developing Sustainability Management Systems in SMEs with an open source software. 

 

KATE publishes materials such as guidelines, handbooks, holds workshops and training courses for a wide range of  users and works with a wide international network of NGOs, etc.

 

The other main fields of activities are in development projects in Africa and Latin America, sustainable tourism projects in Europe and Latin America, international project management and moderation of sustainability processes, international dialogue and capacity building for promoters and multipliers in fair globalization and sustainable development.

January - Devin municipality in Bulgaria endorses local environmental Charter In the framework of the EMAS Easy MOVE-IT! project, 4 hotels in Devin (Bulgaria) - Ismena, Persenk, Orpheus, and Euridika, along with the municipality and the local Hunting and Fisherment Union will sign on January 13, 2012 the Charter for Sustainable SPA & Wellness destinations.
