The region

Bavaria is an economic strong region within Germany. Industry is important on the on hand, but still the region is also strong in agriculture. The alps close at hand, some famous lakes and the heritage of the Bavarian kings build a rural, traditional but very relaxing environment. Religion plays a strong role in the people’s lives and is part of the culture as one may conclude from some shrines with statues along the roads.
